  • Notes on Completion of the Application Form

    Thank you for your interest in the SOAS-Alphawood Postgraduate Diploma in Asian Art. Please read these notes carefully before completing your application form. For the most up-to-date information visit the Postgraduate Diploma in Asian Art webpage. 

    Terms of Enrolment

    Students can only be enrolled on any one SOAS programme at any time.

    Closing Date

    All applications for the Postgraduate Diploma in Asian Art should be submitted as early as possible and no later than three weeks before the start of the programme. Applications received after that date will however be considered.

    References

    References are not required at this stage, but may be requested during the process of assessing your application.

    Submission

    As part of your application, you will be asked (where applicable) to upload:

    • Your undergraduate degree transcript/certificate(s)
    • Evidence of proficiency in English language
    • Copy of picture page of your passport
    • One passport size photo of yourself

    Selecting your modules

    If you are applying for a Postgraduate Certificate you will be required to select one module plus preferred supporting course.

    If you are applying for a Postgraduate Diploma you will be required to select three modules plus preferred supporting course.

    Module selection isn't final and can be amended at a later date.

    We require evidence of your undergraduate degree (ie certificate and/or transcript copies) alongside your application.

    Documents must be in English. If it is necessary for documents to be translated, please send a copy of the original document and a certified translation. If you have not completed your degree programme at the time of applying, you should send a transcript of your marks so far.

    If your academic study was several years ago and degree certificates or transcripts of degree certificates cannot be obtained, your application can still be considered.

    International applicants will be asked to provide evidence of their proficiency in English language if they are offered a place at SOAS.

    It will assist the processing of your application if you can enclose this evidence in your application form. However, consideration of applications will not be held back if evidence is not available at this initial stage.
